I applied for a job at the Writing Center on campus. Won't know if I got that job until after the first week of school, because that's when the interviews are. But I feel fairly confident, because the three senior lecturers in the English Department wrote my recommendation letters. So, after 4 years of working at the Lifetime Fitness Child Center, I will finally be leaving, which is a good thing because all the 4 and 5 year olds that are running around that place, i remember when they were just starting to walk. makes me feel old. Speaking of old...Neil and Nivio turned 8!! CRAZY!!!! They were baptized on the 5th. SO CRAZY! I remember back when they were ittie bittie little babies! where has the time gone??

peeking. makes me feel smart.So Hannah is graduating high school! her last day is tomorrow...so sad! She's having a graduation/birthday/going away party on Saturday and asked me to make her a cat cake. should be fun. I'll post pictures after I make it...if i remember. it will be pretty awesome. She wants it to look like Juno..her cat...which i think is kind of morbid. She will be EATING a cake that looks like her LIVING cat. She's a freak...but i love her. She wants me to make the cake cause Melody (Brent's sister) and I took the first of four cake decorating classes at Michael's last month. and i made a totally awesome cake for thanksgiving! I also made a pretty sweet cake for Hallo
ween too. (black icing comes out the same color it goes in! hahahaha)Meaghan and Hannah are leaving for Utah and Idaho on the 28th..that's like two weeks away :-(. I'm gonna miss them a ton cause they're like the only people i hang out with. I guess I'm gonna have to hang out with Josh more often. Adam will be coming home for Christmas! too bad Caleb and Michael can't come down like they did for dad's birthday. that was fun! I'm so excited for Christmas! My favorite part is watching everyone open their presents to see their reactions of what they got. I'm almost completely finished with my Christmas shopping too! a week ahead of schedule. just have to get Brent's dad something and I'm pretty sure I'm just going to grab a gift card. I'm expecting a package to come in today so i can finish everyone else's present.
***side note...did you know that fifth graders read The Scarlet Letter?? I didn't read that til my junior year in high school...CRAZY!***
So i was cleaning my kitchen today and while i was washing PLASTIC containers i found a huge gash in my thumb...chunk of skin missing and blood and everything..no idea how i got it. THEN while i was spraying 409 on the stove, getting ready to scrub it down, i found another cut on my ring finger...no clue where its from. So i have a mysterious sharp object in my kitchen. Didn't touch a single knife nor do i have any broken glass anywhere in my apt. NO IDEA how i cut myself. Oh well. Just hope i remember those cuts are there when i go into work and put Purell on my hands..that stuff burns!
